Claims Communication Coordinator

We’re a team of specialized experts, dedicated to first-class customer service and claims assistance. We’re looking for a Claims Communication Coordinator to join this team, in our Richmond, BC office.

What you'll do
- Prepare customized denial letters. This includes merging customized information into existing templates and/or creating new templates when needed, composing customized letters as necessary (utilizing TuGo tone) and verifying information with the supervisors and examiners. This requires a high level of understanding of policy wordings.
- Type other custom correspondence. This includes utilizing existing templates and composing custom letters as necessary, and including proper attachments.
- Validate/data entry for priority mail into the Kofax system, review data entered, verify accuracy of data in Phoenix, and file new mail in the appropriate folder.
- Assist with processing incoming mail during the busy season. Open mail, identify claim/policy number, sort by broker account and distribute for processing.
- May be required to cover 10th floor reception, print and send out packets of claim forms, complete validation for non-priority mail, assist in filing new mail, and assist examiners and clerical staff with locating files
- Achieve performance targets.

What you'll bring
- Degree or Diploma in business or a related discipline
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing business correspondence
- 2+ years of administrative experience, including word-processing
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Understanding of insurance policies is an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency/accuracy working with numbers
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong ability to multi-task
- Ability to type 50 WPM
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong team player and positive contributor
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn applications quickly
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
