We’re a team of specialized experts, dedicated to first-class customer service and claims assistance. We’re looking for a Learning Specialist to join our team, in our Richmond, BC office.
TuGo is privately owned with headquarters in Richmond, BC. We have over 170 employees in offices across Canada.
What you'll do
- Conduct Learning Needs analysis to asses and evaluate training needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Develop and implement internal and external learning through collaboration with the LC team, the trainers, and the SMEs in each department.
- Promote adult learning best practices and act on feedback from stakeholders.
- Build expertise in training-related software and tools including Camtasia, Totara Moodle (LMS) and webinar platforms.
- Ensure training resources and related communications have a consistent branded look and high standard of quality.
- Update training materials and expand LMS learning resources.
- Implement and report on learning measures of success.
- Achieve performance targets.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and all other teams.
- Responsively and effectively handle issues.
- Look for ways to improve customer experience.
- Promote and model TuGo culture, values, and brand promise.
- Continuously build professional and technical expertise.
- Other duties as required.
What you'll bring
- Degree in business or a related discipline
- 1+ years of experience as a trainer in a corporate environment, preferably financial services
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects, manage multiple priorities and crafting project plans
- Experience using e-learning authoring tools such as Camtasia, and Storyline
- Experience using LMS and webinar platforms
- Experience using collaborative (wiki) software such as Confluence
- Ability to use educational theory and apply adult learning best practices
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to implement plans
- Experience in the insurance industry and knowledge of insurance products is an asset
- French language fluency is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong team player and positive contributor
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn applications quickly
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
