Product Development Assistant

We’re a team of specialized experts, dedicated to first-class customer service and claims assistance. We’re looking for a Product Development Assistant to join this team, in our Richmond, BC office.

TuGo is privately owned with headquarters in Richmond, BC. We have over 170 employees in offices across Canada.

What you'll do

  • Assist with the development, proofreading and updating of policy wordings, endorsements, distribution guides, rate cards, medical health questionnaires, medical and definition guides, sale tools and any other product support material for new and existing products.
  • Collect, scan, file, and organize all policy editorial and coverage changes, document the purpose of these changes and ensure that they are implemented upon reprint.
  • Develop and maintain internal and competitive coverage and rate summaries as required.
  • Produce ad hoc coverage, rate and/or medical health questionnaire comparisons as requested.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support: write minutes during meetings, update the collateral inventory document and order office supplies.
  • Achieve performance targets.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and all other teams.
  • Responsively and effectively handle issues.
  • Look for ways to improve customer experience.
  • Promote and model TuGo culture, values, and brand promise.
  • Continuously build professional and technical expertise.
  • Other duties as required.

What you'll bring

  • Completion of a business-related post-secondary degree or diploma an asset
  • 3 years of administrative experience
  • 1-2 years experience writing and proofreading documents such as Standard Operating Procedures
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple, diverse priorities under deadlines
  • Knowledge of Canadian Insurance Industry an asset
  • Detailed knowledge of TuGo products an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong team player and positive contributor
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn applications quickly
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • A strong customer experience focus
