We’re a team of specialized experts, dedicated to first-class customer service and claims assistance. We’re looking for a SEM Specialist to join our team, in our Richmond, BC office.
TuGo is privately owned with headquarters in Richmond, BC. We have over 170 employees in offices across Canada.
What you'll do
- Drive traffic, sales and customer and partner acquisition growth.
- Monitor activity, analyze performance, identify areas of opportunity, and recommend ways to improve program KPIs.
- Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly reports on key SEO metrics including traffic, revenue, RPV, conversion rate and new customer metrics. Monitor other SEO metrics including entry pages, bounce rates, keyword performance and ranking reports.
- Develop the overall PPC strategy and report on KPI’s including CPA, CTR, CPC and conversion rate.
- Measure and benchmark external link performance, reclaim and optimize existing links while also securing new links.
- Drive keyword research and report measurable success on a keyword level.
- Work with the Marketing Communications, Product Development, and Sales teams to optimize site content, find content gaps and strategically build internal links.
- Gather SEM-related information on industry and competitor trends, benchmarking tactics, best practices and performance to provide actionable requests.
- Implement new strategies, tests, and reporting, collaborating with the Tech Teams as needed.
- Coordinate documentation and publication of digital marketing best practices.
- Achieve performance targets.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and all other teams.

- Look for ways to improve customer experience.

- Continuously build professional and technical expertise.

What you'll bring
- Degree in business or marketing or a similar program
- 3+ years of experience performing SEO or a similar role
- 1+ years of digital marketing experience required
- Understanding of online search (paid and natural), as well as standard industry practices
- Advanced knowledge of SEO and PPC methods, best practices and search engine algorithms
- Experience conducting SEO site audits and providing actionable recommendations
- Proactive and self-motivated work style with proven ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
- Strong communication (both written & oral) and interpersonal skills; ability to create technical reports in laymen’s terms
- A keen interest and passion for SEM and the industry
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint with the ability to analyze data and prepare reports (including the use of pivot tables, charts, and vlookups)
- Previous experience using web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.), CMS platforms (Wordpress, Drupal, etc.) and experience working across multiple data sources
- Proficient with HTML and an understanding of other web technologies including Java and Ajax
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong team player and positive contributor
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn applications quickly
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
