We’re a team of specialized experts, dedicated to first-class customer service and claims assistance. We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our team, in our Richmond, BC office.

TuGo is privately owned with headquarters in Richmond, BC. We have over 170 employees in offices across Canada.

  • Effectively manage multiple project integration activities ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of TuGo projects.
  • Assist the Executive Sponsor and Project Sponsor in identifying and creating Project Charter.
  • With input from the project team, assist the Project Sponsor in developing and finalizing Project Scope.
  • Identify project stakeholders and their influence on, and expectations of, the project.
  • Develop Knowledge Area Management plans (Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risks, Procurement and Stakeholders) suitable to the project.
  • In collaboration with the Project Sponsor and team, establish performance measurement baselines (for Scope, Schedule and Cost) and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
  • Ensure all stakeholders’ understanding and buy-in to set performance measurement baselines.
  • In collaboration with the project team, develop and maintain project documents, Project Schedule, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and other relevant templates in keeping with established TuGo standards.
  • Execute project activities according to project management plans and work in a collaborative manner to design and apply streamlined project management standards and processes across departments to obtain optimal efficiency and ensure      alignment with, and achievement of, the organization’s corporate objectives.
  • Champion identification of operational process improvements and facilitate implementation of these improvements.
  • Continually evaluate project management processes and documentation; recommend and/or execute agreed changes.
  • Ensure effective communication and relationships between stakeholders and project team members are maintained.
  • Monitor and control project team and assigned tasks, ensuring quality and timely production of verified deliverables and achievement of project objectives.
  • Close projects and ensure completion of project document i.e. final reports, lessons learned, hand-off document, and other project close related documents.
  • Achieve performance targets.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and all other teams.
  • Responsively and effectively handle issues.
  • Look for ways to improve customer experience.
  • Promote and model TuGo culture, values, and brand promise.
  • Continuously build professional and technical expertise.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Degree or diploma in a business-related discipline
  • PMP or CAPM certification completed or in progress
  • 3+ years of successfully managing projects
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and software development release cycles
  • Experience with JIRA and other project tracking software
  • Extensive experience using MS Project and other MS Office tools
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong team player and positive contributor
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn applications quickly
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
